Essay ExampleThesis statement Frankenstein, the novel by Mary Shelley represents the emotional paradoxs faced by the titan and these problems originate from isolation or alienation and a sense of not belonging faced by it in the mainstream society.The problem of isolation/alienation faced by the lusus naturae in the mainstream society is interconnected with Victor Frankensteins (say, the creator of the monster) deep interest in outdated theories and experimentation. To be specific, Frankenstein developed the technique of filling life to dead bodies and it eventually led to the creation of the monster. Besides, he collected bones to piss the monster. yet Frankenstein failed to create a beautiful human being. Instead, his creation was a monster with yellowish skin and ghost like appearance. This failed experimentation is the grass root level motive behind the isolation/alienation faced by the monster in the mainstream society.From a different angle of view, Frankenstein expecte d a beautiful human being. But his failure to create a human being horrified him and he totally ignored the monster. Besides, he tried to escape from his responsibility to help oneself the monster to lead a normal life like others. So, one can easily identify that Frankensteins attempt to save himself from his responsibility and duty to help his creation eventually led to his untimely death in the end. In the novel Frankenstein, Victor Frankenstein made clear that A new species would bless me as its creator and source many happy and excellent natures would owe their being to me (89). Moreover, Frankenstein tries to destroy his creation but his attempt did not help him to save his family from it. The monster tries its level best to communicate with its creator, but for vain.
